Almena Krystel Small Weldon

November 29, 1982 - December 12, 2018

Almena Krystel Small Weldon, age 36 of Augusta, GA entered into rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.  Nina Rawce as she was also known, began at the age of one reading the newspaper.  It was at that time the family knew she was different.  She became a beautiful writer who loved to travel, she spoke both Japanese and Spanish and received many awards including the President Writers Award and the African American Award of Excellence.

Nina is survived by her mother, Wanda Weldon of Augusta, GA and father, Oneal Small of Wilson, NC.  Sister, Kristina Small of Augusta, GA, brothers, Robert Small and  Cpt. Kristofer Small both of Augusta, GA.  Grandparents, Diane Mabry of North Augusta, SC and Joycelyn Small of Brooklyn, NY. 

A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
