Tim Carlton was the most compassionate person that came to my Mother's house the day my step-father passed away. When Tim came in he brought a sense of calm to the chaos going on around us. He spoke to us with care & compassion. I went to work for the Clerk of Court a couple of yrs later & had a chance to tell him how much his compassion meant to my Mother & our family on one of the worst days of our lives. I am glad I got to know him just a little. I remember fussing about the crowds in WalMart & he told me I should go at 2 or 3 AM. He said the store was usually quiet & you could get thru faster. He saw people on their worst day but seemed to make it a little better. You simply can not say that about too many people. He touched so many lives. I am thankful to have known him. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family, friends & co-workers.

Thoughts & prayers for the family & the community from the Sheriff's Office in Lincoln County, Georgia. During my serving as Lincoln County Coroner for years, our paths crossed frequently. Tim was the epitome of a servant to his community & represented the office well.
Paul C. Reviere - February 20 at 8:01 AM
My deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Tim. We will never get used to losing our loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, we were created with everlasting life in view. But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) As you’re aware God has also promised that he will return Tim to you as it says at John 5:28,29. Please accept my sincere condolences during these difficult times. You are welcomed to learn more on this and any other Bible based topic at JW.org.
