Mr. Joe "Buck" William McBurney
May 16, 1951 - April 7, 2019
We are heartbroken that he has left us but hope that he is on his favorite Harley ride on the other side. Our dad Joe William McBurney, called Buck by his family and friends, left this earthly world on April 7, 2019, to be greeted on the other side by his dad, Jack McBurney, his mom JoeAnn McBurney Porath, his brother Danny McBurney, and sister-in-law Susan McBurney.
Since a motorcycle sidecar will only carry one or two people, he left behind his sons, Joe William McBurney II and Jason Wayne McBurney, his granddaughters Alexis McBurney and Kylie McBurney, his sisters Jackie McBurney, Linda McBurney, and Jenny McBurney, nephew Chris Shelton, niece Rebecca Rigas Allen, and great niece Georgia Brott and great nephew Joshua Rigas.
Buck loved having the wind in his face while riding alone or with friends. His spirit still rides with them and us.
A memorial service will be Friday April 12, 2019, at 3:00 pm, at Barton Chapel Methodist Church, 3414 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
Flowers are always appreciated but the family asks that, instead of flowers, let’s help those who are working to help children at risk and those caught in human trafficking by making a donation to ARK International, P.O. Box 10123, Augusta, GA 30903, Email: email@example.com, Phone: 706-833-5641

My sincerest condolences to Bucks family. I met Buck through his beloved friend Keith Sikes back in the early 90's. He was always kind, a complete gentleman with great humor. He sure kept me laughing. I thank the Lord that our paths crossed. God bless and peace to all as you mourn Bucks passing.Kelly Yates - April 11 at 8:06 PM
I met Buck back in the early nineties through Keith Sikes. I became friends with Buck and when I moved to Florida he would come down and stay with us during Bikeweek and Biketoberfest. He was always alot of fun, I don't think I ever seen him mad. What a great Man, he would help anyone! We will ride on in his memory, we will miss you Buck.... Love you Brother, MichaelMichael Yates - April 11 at 7:32 PM
