Walter Bobby "Pappy" Moore
November 21, 1938 - June 3, 2019
Walter Bobby "Pappy" Moore born November, 21, 1938 went to be with the Lord June 3, 2019. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 54 years Loretta "Mamaw" Moore; father, Robert Arnold Moore; mother, Mildred Brown Moore; sister, Guynell Smith and brother, Billy Moore. Pappy is survived by four children, Theresa (Wallace) Cantrell, Augusta; Jackie (Paul) Dodd, Augusta; Lisa Moore, Augusta and Kenneth (Diana) Moore, Grovetown; eight grandchildren Michael and Travis Moore, David (Crystal), Shaun, and Kyle Salser, Christopher (Lindsey) Dodd, Jessica (Michael) Turner, and Joshua (Brian) Hernandez-Dodd. Six great-grandchildren, Hannah, Chevelle, Cheyenna, Dillon, Leah, and Hadley Salser. He is also survived by two brothers, Joe (Carlene) Moore and Ronald (Okchi) Moore. Two sisters, Vermel Phillips, and Rachael Moore; brother-in-law, Wheeler (Sue) Vance and sister-in-law, Chris Moore.
He was a member of Bible Deliverance Temple and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a great husband, father, and Pappy to all who knew him. Family was everything to him and he loved God and music. God put a song in his heart. He's resting in the arms of the angels at the feet of Jesus.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick Street, Augusta, Georgia 30904. Rev. James C. “Jimmy” Murray, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick Street, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
