Mr. Donald Ray Paylor
November 7, 1956 - April 4, 2019
Augusta, GA. – Donald Ray Paylor, age 62 entered into rest on April 4, 2019 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. He is preceded in death by his father, Fletcher Paylor; mother, Christine P. Jones; brothers, Sterling Paylor, Larry Paylor and Ronnie Paylor; and his nephew Christopher Paylor.
Donald is survived by his wife Mary Paylor; daughters Darcel Paylor (George), and Marchel Paylor; son Denzel Paylor (Madonna); triplet sisters Wanda Paylor and Sandra Bass; brothers Randy Paylor, Ricky A. Paylor, and Ernest Johnson; sister Vicky A. Paylor all of North Carolina; seven grandchildren Micah, Laniyah, Caleb, George IV, Malachi, Kali, and Elijah all of Georgia; and eight nephews and nieces, Tony, Craig, Chris, Terren, Michael, Derek, Shanika, Christian and several special nieces of North Carolina.
Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran, where he served in the Gulf War. After Donald retired he went to work at Richmond County Correctional Institution as a Corrections Officer Supervisor. Donald was an Elder, involved in the Media Ministry, on the Praise Team Ministry at Living Faith Church, and he enjoyed fishing, sports, and playing cards and dominoes.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Arlington Burial and Cremation, Pastor Charles H. Stotler and Reverend Benjamin W. Green, officiating. A Repass will be at Living Faith Church, 3969 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta, GA. The family would like any donations made to a charity of their choice: American Kidney Fund, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Donald Paylor was my lieutenant at Augusta Richmond county corrections institution. He was such a supporter of everyone and a God fearing man who always had a great word for anyone he met. He will always hold a place in my heart and I will truly miss him.Elizabeth Armstrong - April 16 at 5:18 PM
I am very sorry to hear of Donald's passing. It seems that I have known the triplets all of my life, growing up we always seemed to be in the same classes. Brother Donald was their to help with the Baptism of our children Simone and Micah.
