Glenn Newsome Sr.

April 12, 1946 - March 22, 2020

Glenn Henry Newsome Sr. beloved husband of Mrs. Cheryl Newsome for 19 years entered into rest on Sunday, March 22, 2020.

A private Celebration of life will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Faith Baptist Church in Thomson Ga. Those who wish may view via, Face Book Live.

Mr. Newsome was a retired maintenance supervisor for Westwood Nursing Home. He was a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.

Mr. Newsome was preceded in death by his daughter Tabitha (Mike) Cauble. In addition to his wife survivors include his children, Glenn Newsome Jr. (Samantha), Michelle Berry (Allen), Joey Johnson (Sidney), Christy Stewart (Linn) and Robbie Tudor (Dana), sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, his brothers, Curtis Stearns (Debbi),  Lane Newsome )Dana)and his two fur babies, Sweet Pea and JR. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Homestead Hospice and expecially Jessica and Dale for the wonderful care they provided all of them during this difficult time.

Cheryl I am so sorry for your loss. Glenn was a special man. I remember beating him in pool. He loved to play pool. He and J R are probably playing pool together now. Love you and my prayers are with you.

I so wish we could have spent more time together, but I hope you know how much I love and miss you. Tell Grandpa and Tab I said “hi” and I love and miss them also. What a reunion that must have been! Fly High Uncle Glenn ?? Your niece, Caroline
