Kathy as she was known by many, grew up in Warms Springs, GA at Pine Mountain. Some of her fondest memories are at the Pine Mountain Resort with her brothers and sisters. Over the years, she had the opportunity to travel with her children and grandchildren. She blessed them with great memories and happier times with her. The joy of her laughter with her family/friends either at dinner, reunions, births, birthdays, and graduations will dearly by missed by all who knew her. Her commitment to family was shown and not just spoken, she would not ask but would just step in and help out with whatever was needed. Her footprints left on this earth was of LOVE she gave to her family/friends, the JOY she gave to those who wanted to be with her, making memories, the HAPPINESS she got from talking with and being together with her family and friends, the LAUGHTER we received from old jokes or stories from the past or making new ones, her COMPASSIONATE and KINDNESS she had shown to many, many, many of her family/friends, and their family members. She shared it by being by a loved-one’s side as they passed on to their next life or just simply being there with her family/friends family in times of need. Her journey in this life was driven by her and her alone. Her love and voice will be missed by many. Her greatest fear was leaving her family who she loved dearly and mere thought of not seeing us anymore. Now she is resting high on the mountain tops and in no pain. She has joined her parents, a sister Marie Nevels, and a brother Marvin “Buddy” E. Crews Jr., and her beloved son David F. Mikell. She is also proceeded in death by her prior husbands David L.
