Glenda Widener

January 8, 1947 - July 20, 2020

Bath,SC- Mrs. Glenda Baker Widener, 73, entered into rest on Monday, July, 20, 2020 in the comfort of her home. She was a loving wife, mother and Nanny to her family. For most of her adult life she worked at Insurance Services of Augusta

Born in Augusta, GA she was the daughter of the late John Benjamin and Nettie Rodgers Baker. She was a graduate of Evans High School. After marrying Paul Widener she became resident of Aiken County. Glenda loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandsons.

In addition to her  husband family members include her daughter Sandy Blythe and husband, Jack, Clarks Hill, SC, grandsons, Samuel Blythe, Glendan Blythe, and Benjamin Blythe, siblings Gene Baker (Sandra) Martinez, GA, the late Bobby Baker and a host of nieces and nephews.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could  not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating harding working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Condolences may be expressed online at www.arlingtonfuneral.com  Arlington Burial & Cremation, 1220 George C Wilson Dr., Suite C, Augusta, GA 30909  762-994-0311.

Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. Many thoughts and prayers??
